Could you please do a comparison of the UI between the three for 2024. Mainly the home screen and when you're in Movies and TV Shows. For some reason, Emby website lacks screenshots. I want to choose one, but this is coming from a long time Kodi user, as KODI imo has the best UI with Aeon MQ9 skin. But I do want to be able to continue videos from multiple devices, so Kodi may no longer suit me anyone with a new family / kids etc. Right now, without looking, I'm leaning towards Plex on a Synology NAS and be done with it, but I'll see how hard the other two are to setup I guess.

Great video. I’m looking at this case but the price gave me pause. How are the rails? I looked at a similar Rosewill RSV-L4500U with 15 bays case but people reported the rails were horrible. The backplane also concerns me. I have an LSI 9201 with a SATA “splitter” cable for 16 drives and I don’t if I can plug that into the Silverstone’s backplane or not.

From what I can see inheritance doesn't work. If you have previously created this hosts, folder properties don't do shit. After having created about 50 hosts BY HAND I now have to tell EACH HOST SEPERATELY to inherit attributes of the folder they're in BECAUSE SUBFOLDER PROPERTIES CAN'T BE EDITED! This program is a non-intuitive, difficult, buggy piece of shit that is a pain to set up and it's just easier to use Putty and Notepad. I have to do software updates on all these switches and I have spend A WEEK wrestling with this piece of sh1t. Who programmed this? A bunch of stoned hippies?

"Import configuration" , yes, sure, easy for those who know. I don't and it's impossible. I have an Excel file with hostname and IP of about 30 Cisco switches that I need to import that all use the same credentials and I cannot find any mention on the internet of how to format that file so I can import it. This program is useless.

Hello I'm stuck on the step where you add your IP address for the server (minute 11:45). When I enter the IP address for my server I get the following error from cloudshare: Target {IP Address} is not allowed for a proxied record. (Code: 9003) I've n ever done anything like this so I'm not sure how to fix it.

Im a plex lifetime member, i got it early on when plex was the stand out by a mile. So i tend to use it to get the value out of the money spent. I really hate that plex sends me a notification as to how i liked what i just watched. Thats just super creepy. Their settings are confusing, and you have to spend time to try and understand what its doing. I dont like some of these features that plex has been adding in, and their app is not completely customisable as i would like - but it is attractive. I used jellyfin the other day and i was really impressed by the ease of use and its performance, and how unconvoluted it was. It was a no nonesense server, it doesnt have the bloat as what plex has in all the unnecessary crap. The only thing that it let me down was tizen app support (for my TV) which is not available on the application store but instead you had to do some developer stuff. Looking through the forums most people appear to be using kodi and jellyfin, and i wanted to avoid having to use kodi - which I think is quite dated even with some of the themes/skins haven't modernised - such as a confluence aeon nox etc... So overall i need to still use plex and get used to their creepiness until i have a solution for my tv.

ya , no. i am such a huge fan of these videos , but my black cloud dont care. i get all the way to 7:47 and nothing happens like it does in the video , ive been trying options for days , even wasted $$ on a domain name and followed in ibracorp video with cloudflare and hit a wall there as well. im set , im cursed, lol have to be , no way im the only one that cant get any option to work for me, either way amazing video, videos! ur great just ur not a god or genie, seems like that is the only lol way imma succeed.

How is there no Jellyfin support in jellyseer? Thats just weird. Only Plex and Emby. It def does not support opensource. Neither Plex nor Emby is opensource.

How do you make share links without using reverse proxy? And would it be insecure to just port forward?

Don’t know if you’ll see this. But how would the traefik route work with services that has built-in login screen like jellyfin? From their docs you’re supposed to use the LDAP feature together with the jellyfin LDAP plugin, but this applies if you run authentik by itself

I'd recommend trying both Jellyfin and Emby, in the end I settled on Emby, well worth the price and the devs are quite active on the forums if you run into any issues from what I've seen. Only real complaint about Emby I have at the moment is Emby Theater Desktop's window management, it doesn't support Windows Snap, which is kind of annoying with two or more monitors. But that should be getting an update soon.

I have been playing with linux for years, but never do it enough to remember how to do what I need to do, only enough to do something stupid. I have had my plex server, very vanilla plex install, and have been doing ALL OF THIS manually for probably about a year now. I discovered all of this a couple days ago and have been getting it all setup, and up until I found your video, it was a bit challenging. Everybody online goes on random tangents about it, but no simple, to the point, short and sweet but yet moderatly detailed explanation on how to get it setup. Well, YOU DID! I love your video, and I like VERY FEW VIDEOS but due to how much it helped me and how much I appreciate it, I wanted to send you a like and drop you a comment, hoping this video finds other linux noobs like me. Thank you very much for your video, and I will be going to your RUclips channel now to see if there is any other videos that will help me get the rest of the tools installed and running. Is there a way to get PhotoPrism to look at all your folders in Pictures and just create an album for each folder? Uploading manually is a monumentus task if you have, let's say, 300 folders already sorted on your Unraid server I've already got a few hundred folders full of photos, PhotoPrism should be able to recognize that and simply import. Seems like common sense no?
